How to get a mortgage - or remortgage - in Kent


Kent is a home county - it touches Greater London - and its county town is Maidstone and Canterbury is its only official city. It is the main area in the UK for hazelnut growing. Each time you apply for credit, a hard inquiry is made into your credit worthiness and of itself this negatively impacts your credit score. So one way to keep your score higher is to limit these hard inquiries. Besides, if you can afford to pay for something outright, you'll avoid having to pay out extra in the longer term in interest payments.

One thing you can do for fast conveyancing in Kent is to opt for Monday as your completion date, when you get your keys and move into your new place.

Understandably, Fridays are the most popular days for completions - people then have the whole weekend to make their new place as shipshape as possible before going back to work on Monday. The trouble is, there's a fair chance that your conveyancing solicitor may well have other completions to do on Fridays and will be very busy already.

Therefore if you decide to opt for a Monday for completion - or indeed, just not a Friday! - your solicitor is more likely to be less busy and therefore more able to 'pull out all the stops' to help you to complete quickly, making sure all the transfers are carried out and so on.
