How to get a mortgage - or remortgage - in Llanelli

Sandbach is a market town in the county of Cheshire. It is perhaps best known as the original home of Foden and ERF lorries.

There is a variety of places to visit within the area. The Market Square has been a historic focal point for the town of Sandbach for many centuries. The square includes many Grade 1 & 2 listed buildings and structures. Following redevelopment which was completed in 2009, the Market Square hosts many of Sandbach's markets and festivals. Other places to visit in the area includes Sandbach Park, Sandbach Crosses and Wheelock Rail Trail which is a 2 km traffic free rout for walking and cycling.
Llanelli is the largest town in both the county of Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. It is surrounded by a number of villages and communities in the Llanelli Rural district

The town is located in an area that provides a variety of popular places to visit in and around the area. Millennium Coastal Path is a 13 miles pedestrian walkway and cycleway along the south coast of Carmarthenshire, providing a link between Llanelli and Pembrey Country Park. Llanelli House is one of the town's most notable historic properties and had been described as the most outstanding domestic building of its early Georgian type to survive in South Wales.

Mortgage Broker Tip

Only started using credit? Don’t open too many credit sources too quickly

New accounts lower your average account age, which can affect your score negatively, particularly if there isn't a lot of other credit information about you readily available.

Additionally, opening a lot of credit accounts rapidly can make you look like a higher risk if you are a relatively new credit user.
Top Mortgage Lenders

Guarantor Mortgage

Guarantor mortgages involve a third party, normally a family member or close associate, agreeing to guarantee that a mortgage applicant will make the correct, timely repayments for a mortgage loan granted.

The guarantee normally has to be backed up by the third party offering their own property as collateral or, for example, giving control of a large savings account to the lender. If the mortgagor defaults on repayments, then the lender can look to make up any shortfalls by extracting these from the third party, potentially putting the third party's home, or savings, at risk.

If the mortgagor makes the correct repayments however, the guarantor will not lose anything and will not have to pay anything over.
