How to get a mortgage - or remortgage - in Milton Keynes


Milton Keynes is a large town in Buckinghamshire County, about 45 miles north-west of London. Its reputation chiefly concerns it being a well-designed 'new town'. It incorporates the towns of Bletchley, Wolverton and Stony Stratford. It is, by design, equidistant from London, Birmingham, Leicester, Oxford and Cambridge.

Offset Mortgage

These can themselves be fixed or variable rate mortgages but always involve the mortgagor (or associate of a mortgagor) having a linked savings account. They work by interest which accrues on the savings account being offset against the interest charged on the mortgage.

The theory is that you'll pay off your mortgage more quickly because of the boost offered by your savings interest. However you cannot then use your savings interest as income and offset mortgages most often don't give you access to discounted rate deals.
