About Jade

Jade is a Director and Solicitor at Lease Law, specialising exclusively in residential leasehold property reform. With over a decade of dedicated legal experience, she acts for both freeholders and leaseholders across England and Wales. She is highly regarded for her meticulous attention to detail, proactive file management, and ability to make complex statutory leasehold processes straightforward for her clients.

Jade completed her professional legal training and was officially admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in December 2016. She joined Lease Law shortly after its inception, aligning her career with the niche practice's mission to deliver premium, specialist landlord and tenant advice.

Her outstanding technical legal acumen, commitment to client service, and strategic contribution to the firm's growth led to her appointment as a Director. Together with the senior leadership team, Jade oversees the high standards of legal delivery that define the firm's nationwide reputation.

Jade prides herself on providing an approachable, transparent, and highly communicative service. Recognising that navigating leasehold reform can be a daunting financial and legal process, she cuts through the complex terminology to ensure her clients understand every stage of their transaction. Her pragmatic approach helps resolve technical disputes and finalise complex enfranchisement matters efficiently, keeping client goals firmly protected throughout.

Areas of Expertise

Jade possesses a comprehensive understanding of complex leasehold legislation, routinely handling both statutory and voluntary frameworks. Her core specialisms include:

  • Statutory & Informal Lease Extensions: Guiding flat owners and landlords through the technical calculations, strict statutory deadlines, and legal documentation required to extend residential leases.
  • Collective Enfranchisement: Advising leaseholders on the legal mechanics of banding together to purchase the freehold of their blocks, as well as defending freeholders facing enfranchisement claims.
  • Right to Manage (RTM) Claims: Assisting leaseholders in successfully claiming their legal right to take over the daily management and maintenance of their buildings.
  • Section 5 Right of First Refusal: Advising landlords on compliance with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 when disposing of a freehold asset, ensuring tenants are served with the correct statutory notices.

Jade did a fantastic job...

...with the legal aspects of our compulsory purchase of the freehold for our small building from a very difficult / uncooperative / dodgy freeholder.

She was very responsive and knowledgeable. The price was reasonable and clearly explained. Would definitely use Lease Law again if needed. Though hopefully we wont have to :)
