Missed payments/late payments? Start and continue making them on time

If you make a late payment and continue to do so, your credit score will decrease. If you begin to make them on time, your credit score will increase – simple!

Any previous credit problems become less important if you are paying your current repayments on time.

Lifetime Mortgage

This type of mortgage is a type of equity release and is a long-term loan secured on one property. The amount borrowed can vary as it depends on the age of the applicant and the value of the property it is secured on.

It is an unusual type of mortgage as the mortgagor doesn’t have to make any repayments until the end of the plan.

Totnes is a market town situated 28 miles southwest of Exeter and 24 miles east of Plymouth. The town is a hub for music, art and theatre and is known for providing a place to live a ‘bohemian lifestyle’.

Evidence for the towns presence dates back to 1136 when it was mentioned in the book ‘Historia Regum Britanniae’. The Brutus Stone can be found in the town and is thought to be the small granite boulder on which Brutus of Troy, the mythical founder of Britain, took his first step onto the land from his Ship.

Totnes Castle is one of the most well-preserved Norman mottle and bailey castles. The Castle is on a large hill overlooking the town and so is a popular landmark in Totnes. It is thought to have been built in the 12th century.

Totnes Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

One thing you can do for fast conveyancing in Totnes is to opt for Monday as your completion date, when you get your keys and move into your new place.

Understandably, Fridays are the most popular days for completions - people then have the whole weekend to make their new place as shipshape as possible before going back to work on Monday. The trouble is, there's a fair chance that your conveyancing solicitor may well have other completions to do on Fridays and will be very busy already.

Therefore if you decide to opt for a Monday for completion - or indeed, just not a Friday! - your solicitor is more likely to be less busy and therefore more able to 'pull out all the stops' to help you to complete quickly, making sure all the transfers are carried out and so on.

So for a fast conveyancing move think about completing Monday to Thursday!
