Chesham is a market town in Buckinghamshire located 11 miles south-east of Aylesbury and 10 miles west of Hemel Hempstead. It is the county town of the district of Chiltern. In the 18th and 19th century the town's affluence increased due to its development in the manufacturing of boots, beer and brushes.
Landmarks in the town include the clock tower which was built in 1992 and Chesham War Memorial which stands in a beautiful garden on The Broadway in the centre of town.
Chesham has one of the furthest-out tube stations and famously is one of the ends of the longest distance between tube stations despite Chalfont and Latimer and Chesham being only 3.89 miles apart.
Chesham's only major road is the A416 running north and south from the town centre.Â
The B485 provides access to Great Missenden and the underground provides regular services into Central London on the Metropolitan line that terminates at Aldgate.
Buckinghamshire is a county which touches the western edges of the Greater London Area and is mainly rural in aspect. Many of the towns and villages on the eastern edges of the county serve as commuter dormitories for London workers, such as Amersham, Chesham and the Chalfonts. The section of the Chiltern Line, which links Aylesbury with London Marylebone via Amersham, has streamlined this daily journey for many workers in the City of London. Buckinghamshire's county town is Buckingham, but there are a number of larger settlements such as High Wycombe and Aylesbury.Â
There is considerable affluence in many parts of the county, such as around Fulmer, Gerrards Cross, Farnham Common and Stoke Poges. Denham Golf Club, which has its own station on the Chiltern Line, is the haunt of many celebrities who have dwellings in the area. The county is the site of the first modern private university to receive a charter, the University of Buckingham. Buckinghamshire has number of areas of outstanding natural beauty, such as Burnham Beeches and the Chilterns (including the Chess Valley).

Chesham Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.
The actual conveyancing costs, outside of the legal work, should be fixed as they are set including:
For buyers: stamp duty, land registration, property searches, ID searches and leasehold charges (if buying a leasehold property).
For sellers: office copies, title plan and management information (if selling a leasehold property).
It is important to make sure when budgeting the costs of moving home that you factor in all of the above conveyancing costs and ensure you get a fixed fee conveyancing quote from your chosen local solicitors or licensed conveyancer.
How often should you communicate with your solicitor?
It's a given that conveyancing mainly centres on communications conducted between different solicitor firms acting for both buyer and seller and that you won't need to be in constant communication with your solicitor, who should contact you if there is pressing need.
That said, you should definitely communicate with your solicitor if something particular is worrying you. Your property searches will show up planning applications lodged within the boundaries of the property you're buying but let's say for example you've your heart set on a view of an open field at the back of the property. You should, in this situation, tell your solicitor to carry out searches against the field to check if there might be plans to build new houses there.
