Selling or buying a home with our New Forest Conveyancing Solicitors
New Forest is a local government district in the county of Hampshire that encompasses the New Forest itself as well as Lymington, Ringwood, Fordingbridge and various other parishes and settlements, such as New Milton and Milford-on-Sea. It's a relatively affluent and beautiful area.
The principal attraction in the New Forest district area is the New Forest itself which offers numerous diversions and is legendary as a wildlife area with many horses – you can see Muntjac Deer there if you're lucky! Lymington, originally an Anglo-Saxon village, is a pleasant and historic port town with a major yachting centre. Ringwood similarly dates back to Anglo-Saxon times and is a market town.
The district has excellent communications as well, from Bournemouth International Airport to the M27 which is to its north east. Southampton Station is nearby and both Brockenhurst and New Milton are on the main line connecting Bournemouth with London Waterloo.

The M27 motorway is just to the New Forest's north east, giving access to the motorway network. It becomes the A31 which runs right through the middle of the area.
The district is well served by railway lines, with the conurbations of both Southampton and Bournemouth nearby, each with their respective stations, and Brockenhurst and New Milton are on the main line connecting Bournemouth to London Waterloo and trains to the capital are direct, taking around 90 minutes.

When do you pay your estate agent's fees?
When you sell your home using an estate agent, you normally become liable to pay fees to them when they've introduced a buyer who exchanges contracts for buying your property.
The agent's commission is normally settled on the day of completion and the standard practice is to deduct it from the net proceeds of your house sale. Your solicitor will organise this payment on your behalf.
