Ongar lies on the A414 and B184 with the former linking it to the M11 for travel to Cambridge and connections with the wider motorway network. By railway, Ongar is accessed by train to Brentwood from London Liverpool Street, then taking the 21 bus. By tube, one travels to Epping, a terminus on the Central Line, then taking a 420 bus. There used to be a connection on the Central Line between Epping and Ongar however this was discontinued. There is a heritage line running on the same tracks however this is not a commuter service and it presently terminates at North Weald, short of Epping Station.

Essex hosts Stansted Airport and attractions such as the Lakeside Shopping Centre, near Thurrock and Epping Forest, a popular forest for camping and other activities. A large proportion of Essex's boundaries are water (the River Thames and the North Sea), the remainder includes Greater London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. What are the conveyancing costs?
Ongar Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.
The actual conveyancing costs, outside of the legal work, should be fixed as they are set including:
For buyers: stamp duty, land registration, property searches, ID searches and leasehold charges (if buying a leasehold property).
For sellers: office copies, title plan and management information (if selling a leasehold property).
It is important to make sure when budgeting the costs of moving home that you factor in all of the above conveyancing costs and ensure you get a fixed fee conveyancing quote from your chosen local solicitors or licensed conveyancer.
Whether you're a cash buyer or buying with a mortgage solicitors are key to the whole process, making the right choice critically important.

Should you pay a 'reservation deposit' to get an offer accepted?
Some estate agents now impose reservation deposits on buyers which ostensibly ensure that a property is taken off the market when an offer is accepted.
As long as reservation deposit monies paid are then deducted from the seller's asking price, this may be regarded as entirely fair, however the terms of any such deposit need to be carefully scrutinised.
If it turns out that the terms indicate that this fee is non-refundable and payable to the estate agent, then it should be questioned from the outset – estate agents should be generating their income from sellers of property, not potential buyers.
