Trowbridge is the county town of Wiltshire and located around 8 miles south east of Bath, with the Mendip Hills lying between the 2 locations. It's a pleasant market town which was historically at the forefront of cloth production and the area has been farmed on for more than 3,000 years. Landmarks include Clark's Mill (now home of the County Court) and Handle House, both of which were associated with the cloth trade, its town hall with its Italianate clock tower, and St James's Church, a Grade I listed Anglican church, which was originally built in the mid-10th century.

The M4 is the one motorway going through the county and the main transport hub is Swindon, which has regular direct trains to London Paddington and other major conurbations. The nearest major airport is Southampton.
There are three universities in Wiltshire, all located in Swindon. These are; Cranfield University, a postgraduate-only institution, which has strong links with industry and the business world; the University of the West of England and the University of Bath in Swindon.
Wiltshire has many attractions, some of which are very quirky, including Burlington, a huge nuclear bunker which can accommodate 4,000 people, Longleat Safari Park, the Kennet & Avon Canal Museum in Devizes, the Swindon and Cricklade Railway and Salisbury Cathedral.
Swindon also hosts the Magic Roundabout, which has been voted the UK's scariest road junction.

Can you use a Lifetime ISA (LISA) to buy a home?
The Government introduced Lifetime ISAs in April 2017 and you can choose to put your LISA savings towards buying a new home.
You have to be aged between 18 and 40 to start up a LISA and can save up to £4,000 each year in one and the Government offers a 25% bonus on top of the sum you've saved. If you want to put your savings towards buying a property – the value cannot exceed £450,000 - you can only do this once the account has been open for at least 1 year.
You can split the money you've saved into both buying a property as well as contributing to your retirement funds. You can also pool your LISA savings with someone else's to buy a home.
