Apply to remove unfair defaults on your file

A company might have reported a debt it thinks you still owe but you think you have paid it. You should contact that company directly to ask for it to be removed and inform it that you will contact the Financial Ombudsman if it isn't.

If your contact with the company does not sort out the issue you can contact the relevant credit reference agency to add a notice of correction with a short explanation. Applications for credit may take longer but your action should reduce the negative effects on your score of the claimed default.

Endowment Mortgage

Endowment mortgages are traditionally associated with interest-only mortgages and so are only open to non-residential investors such as those looking to buy to let.

Your monthly repayments pay off the interest on the loan only with an interest-only mortgage and don't address payment of the capital. The endowment element works by you paying into an endowment fund and part of your payment is put towards life cover (if you die, the capital is paid off). The endowment fund itself is an investment fund which you invest in monthly and which is intended to grow, during the mortgage period, to become large enough on surrender at the end of the period to cover the capital.

The risk – and controversy surrounding these products – concerns the fund not growing sufficiently to cover the full capital amount such that there is a shortfall which has to be made up.

Finsbury Park is an area of north London centred on the park of the same name and a significant railway, tube and bus interchange. The park itself is one of London's great public parks built in the Victorian era and includes features such as an outdoor gym, a boating lake, a running track and a baseball pitch among others.

Finsbury Park is a highly cosmopolitan area with great communications; on one end there is Green Lanes, which has many Kurdish shops (excellent fruit and veg, barbers etc.) whereas to the south there is the Finsbury Park Mosque/North London Central Mosque. Arsenal Football Club's Emirates Stadium is nearby as is the large George Sobel leisure centre.

Finsbury Park Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

Communicating using the fastest and most efficient methods can really speed up conveyancing in Finsbury Park.

The last thing you want is to be ready for exchange but still be waiting on outstanding documents. To avoid unnecessary delays, if you have a question for your solicitor, the quickest thing to do is pick up the phone. Emailing with scanned attachments can be faster than posting documents.

If you do need to send any documents, make sure you use recorded delivery. This will avoid the horrible situation that the documents are lost in the post and you have to wait for replacements.
