Disassociate from previous partners with poor credit ratings

Being financially associated with someone with a poor credit rating lowers yours in turn. If you've split up, you should ensure that credit agencies know about the split.

You do this by filling out a disassociation form: do this for each of the 3 main credit reference agencies.

Offset Mortgage

With any form of offset mortgage the applicant normally has a linked account which bears interest and this interest is offset against the interest payable on their mortgage loan, making repayments cost less.

The flip side is that interest rates charged on these mortgages may be higher than normal and, of course, the income from interest on the linked account can no longer be used for any other purpose.

Hampstead is an affluent area of North London, 4 miles north-west of Central London, renowned for its artistic, musical and literary associations and Hampstead Heath, which is hilly parkland. Hampstead Village has a very high quota of millionaires.

Other well-known attractions in the locale include Keats House in Keats Grove, a museum and library in poet John Keats' former home, and Fenton House in Hampstead Grove, which is a splendid 17th century home with a walled garden.

Hampstead Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

Get all your signed documentation to your solicitor in advance, if you want to give yourself more chance of a faster conveyancing process in Hampstead.

Your conveyancing solicitor can't exchange contracts with the other side until they receive your mortgage deed, transfer deed, signed contract and so on. Originals of these documents, or at least some originals may be required by your solicitor and if so, you may need to post them.

It's a good idea, if you have to use Royal Mail, to send as much correspondence as you can together and make sure to use recorded delivery. This way, the documents can be tracked and you can find out when your mail was received and who signed for it. This is never best left to chance - you might lose your documents, which will slow down your conveyancing considerably and you will have to wait for replacements, into the bargain.
