Read your credit report – is the information correct?

Many bad credit scores could be down to having incorrect information.

a)  Is your name correct?
b)  Is your address correct?
c) Are there any mobile phone contracts still showing?

Any information that is incorrect will be affecting your credit score. Using the address details stored in your credit file, write to any company that has incorrect information about you.

Capped Rate Mortgage

Capped rate mortgages are variable rate mortgages with an agreed cap on how high the rate – and therefore your repayments – can rise.

The rate can fall, meaning your payments become cheaper, and cannot rise above a certain agreed level, making it easy for you to budget and more predictable.

You should be very clear about whether you can afford to make the repayments at the level of the cap, which might be set quite high and the interest rates offered may be less competitive than for other variable and fixed rate mortgages.

Capped rate mortgages may also be for a particular fixed time period and if they are, you may have to pay a large sum if you choose to leave early.

Norbiton is located within Kingston Upon Thames. Norbiton's housing consists primarily on Victorian and Edwardian family houses, including small localised redevelopments and modern flats. Norbiton used to be the ancient market town in which Saxon kings used to be crowned, which can be seen with the coronation stone presented outside the guild hall. Kingston was part of a large ancient parish in the county of Surrey and the town was part of an ancient borough, reformed in 1835. Since 1965, Kingston (Norbiton) has been a part of Greater London. The city hosted the TV show the bill in the Cambridge Road Estate, as well as the BBC sitcom Some Girls (TV series).

Norbiton Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

Be wary of going on holiday

You should consider avoiding going on holiday until your conveyancing is finished, even if you instruct your solicitor to progress things in your absence.

You may have to take a particular decision, find out some information or carry out some other action resulting from your conveyancing. This may become very complicated if you are abroad. All of this can lead to delays.

At the very least, you should ensure that you've already provided your solicitor with your proof of ID & proof of funds and that they know you are away, when you are coming back and how to contact you.
