Selling or buying a home with our North East London Conveyancing Solicitors

North East London in many ways is an artificial geographical construct because traditionally and going by postcodes, there is an N (North) area and an E (East) area but nothing NE. However, increasingly the area has become recognised in its own right because it makes little sense thinking of a suburb like Chingford as being in the East End when it is clearly far to the north of traditional East End areas such as Bow and Whitechapel. Hackney also is somewhat ambiguous – it's often thought to be part of the East End yet it's clearly somewhat north as is Dalston.

The area covers much of the path of the River Lee with its highly important reservoirs. Many of the suburbs towards the border with Essex are quite affluent, particularly Chingford and Higham's Park whereas Hackney has kept a traditional 'salt of the earth' reputation. That said, all the districts around Hackney, Dalston and Kingsland are these days regarded as fairly cosmopolitan, with a wide variety of small and larger-chain shops and fairly high property prices.

There are many beautiful parks in the area looking back to Victorian times such as Victoria Park itself and Hackney Downs. Walthamstow has seen considerable redevelopment and investment in recent years and is a brilliant communications hub for public transport as well as roads. The Hainault border with Essex is very near to the 'Golden Triangle' of Chigwell, Buckhurst Hill and Loughton.

Property Solicitors North East London, Transport information
There are numerous overland services covering the area and some tube stations, the lines being the Victoria Line as it heads towards Walthamstow and the Central Line as it heads towards Hainault and Epping. In places like Hackney, getting about is probably easiest via the seemingly endless number of Red London buses. Liverpool Street Station is the main London terminus for many of the overland stations, particularly as it has a branch terminating at Chingford.

LondonGreater London is an area which contains London, the capital of the United Kingdom (which itself centres on the Cities of London and Westminster) and a number of surrounding boroughs which are administered as London boroughs and which are the overall executive responsibility of the Mayor of London. It contains a large number of constituencies, each represented by an MP and it should be noted that these are not the same as nor even always continguous with the borders of the boroughs.

Many parts of Greater London were originally administered by the counties which surround London and these counties are often called the home counties. Enfield, for example, used to be classed as being part of Middlesex, but is now near the northern border of Greater London. Greater London's borders often coincide with a zone of 'green belt': areas where it has been decided that open spaces, parks, forests and wildlife reserves should act as a buffer against urban sprawl. London has numerous landmarks, anything from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament to Karl Marx's grave in Highgate Cemetery.

Greater London contains more than 9 million inhabitants, a number growing daily, and as this is approximately 1/7 of the population of the UK, it can be seen that Greater Londoners have a large influence on the rest of the country politically and this is enhanced by the concentration of skilled workers gravitating towards the capital.

What are the conveyancing costs?

North East London Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.
