Old phone contracts negatively affect your credit score

If phone contracts that you no longer used have addresses on that you no longer live at, this can reduce your credit score. It can confuse ID checks and can disrupt your application. Check your credit file and make sure all addresses are up to date – close any accounts that have old addresses.

Mortgage Types

Types of mortgages include:

  • Repayment or Interest-only
  • Fixed or variable rate
  • Offset
  • Help to Buy
  • 'Helper'

Repayment mortgages are for residential clients and interest-only mortgages are for commercial clients. The interest rates on these mortgages can either be fixed or track a rate. The Bank of England base rate is what affects interest rates that are not fixed.

Offset mortgages involve linking your mortgages with a savings account, whereas Help to Buy mortgages that are accompanied by a Government equity loan. Finally Helper mortgages are ones in which an associate of the mortgage assisting the mortgagor to buy a home.

Bearsted is a village in Kent situated 3 miles east of Maidstone, 20 miles northeast and 42 miles southeast of London. The village was built around Church Lane and grew from there. It was chosen as a settlement as it lies on the north bank of the River Len, near a tributary of the River Medway and the base North Downs.

The Holy Cross Church is located on Church Lane to the south of the green in Bearsted, and is the one and only Grade I listed building in the village. The Anglo-Saxon name for the town was ‘Berghstede’ – the first part ‘bergh’ means ‘barrow’, which is a burial mound, and is thought to have been called this as the village is located on a previously revered site.

Bearsted Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

Receiving a gifted deposit? Ensure that the donor/s have their IDs and proof of funds to hand.

When you instruct a solicitor to buy or sell a property, you need to give them proof of ID and address and proof of funds.

If you're being helped with deposit funds from family members etc., your solicitor will want to know who these people are and where their money in turn has come from and they will have to prepare a signed and witnessed gifted deposit declaration.

Ensuring that anyone gifting deposit funds to you has these items in readiness guards against unnecessary delays.
