Get on the electoral roll – you're unlikely to get credit if notBeing on the electoral roll will not only improve your credit score but more importantly is normally necessary to be granted credit at all.
If you're not on the roll, a credit agency's score might indicate that your credit rating is excellent, but in practice, you won't normally be granted credit if you apply because of fraud scoring, Lenders invariably use the electoral roll to check IDs and addresses. | Bridging FinanceBridging finance is short term funding which is strongly connected to buying homes and the property market. It can be used to:
- Bridge the finance gap between selling a property and purchasing another;
- Help buy dilapidated properties to 'do up'; and
- Help buy auction properties.
As with all loans, you need to convince lenders that the money will be repaid and you'll only normally get bridging finance if the loan is secured against other commercial or residential properties.
If you are eligible, you can normally arrange bridging finance relatively quickly. It is set up on a bespoke basis and is invariably relatively expensive. |
