You should apply to companies to clear unfair defaults from your file

A company might have reported a debt it thinks you still owe to it. If you think you have paid it, however, you should contact that company directly to ask for it to be removed. You should also state that you will follow up by reporting it to the Financial Ombudsman if it isn't.

If your contact with the company does not sort clear the problem you can contact the relevant credit reference agency to add a notice of correction with a brief explanation. Applications for credit may take longer but what you've done should decrease any negative effects on your score of the claimed default.

Lifetime Mortgage

The sum you can borrow using this type of mortgage is calculated on your age and the value of your property. It is a long term loan secured on a property and is a type of equity release.

This is different from a standard mortgage and the borrower does not have to make any repayments until the plan ends.

Blackpool is best known as a seaside resort in Lancashire and is well-known for its tower – an homage to the Eiffel Tower – and pier as well as its theme parks and numerous arcades and cafes. It took off as a town and resort in the mid-18th century before which it was a hamlet. Access was enabled by a newly-built private road via stagecoaches, particularly from nearby Manchester.

Its expansion and popularity were further assisted by the arrival of the railway in the 1840s and the Industrial Revolution in general which was a highly-marked feature in England's North West, because the new and expanding workforce wished to develop their leisure time by taking seaside holidays.

Blackpool remains the most popular seaside resort in the UK and its Winter Gardens regularly hosts conferences from political parties and trade unions among other organisations. It is the location of festivals of many different types, ranging from its Air Show to its Country Music Festival to its Punk Rock Rebellion Festival. Other major landmarks, interests and attractions include the Nort Pier, the Grand Theatre, the Sea Life Centre, the Louis Tussauds Wax Works, Sandcastle Water Park and Stanley Park.
