Private tenant? Consider using Credit Ladder

If you're a private tenant and regularly pay your rent on time, you may wish to consider using Credit Ladder to help improve your credit rating.

You pay your rent to Credit Ladder - it's a free service – then Credit Ladder passes the money onto your landlord or letting agent, after which it informs Experian as to whether the payment has been made on time. The data is due to be visible to lenders from the end of 2017 onwards.

Cashback Mortgage

Cashback mortgages describe mortgages where the lender provides a cash lump sum incentive for those taking them up and this cash can be particularly welcomed by first time buyers: they're having to cope with the many expenses involved with the conveyancing process and some available cash is great for decorating etc.

They are not, therefore, a different class of mortgage strictly speaking. As in life, you don't get anything for free either: you should carefully compare the interest rate you'll be charged for the cash incentive – there may also be additional fees as well – with other mortgage products to see if the incentive is truly worth it.

Epsom is 14 miles south south-west of Central London and is an affluent market town in Surrey; it is well known for Epsom Downs Racecourse, which hosts the annual Derby horse race. The Epsom Playhouse in Ashley Avenue offers many different types of theatre performance. Nearby Box Hill offers excellent walking, hiking and outdoor recreation - to get to its summit is an excellent challenge for amateur cyclists.

Selling? 'No chain' means less chances for delays..

If an estate agent tells you that, regarding a potential buyer, there is 'no chain', it means that that buyer doesn't have to sell another property in order to buy yours.

The more 'links' there are in a chain, inevitably there are more chances for delays as there are more people who have to coordinate any purchase with a balancing sale.
