Cashback Mortgage

A lender gives you money back, normally a percentage of the loan, when you take out this type of mortgage, the idea being that you benefit from a lump sum which is helpful when you're moving home.

In many ways, this type of mortgage is purely a marketing incentive: before taking this type of mortgage out, you should carefully check the interest rate you will be charged and if you'll have to pay any additional fees to see if you're actually benefiting enough from the incentive.

Skegness is a seaside town in Lincolnshire in the East Lindsey district and is famous for being where Butlin's opened their first holiday resort.

Originally a fishing village and small port, it started to develop into a town with the arrival of the railway in 1875 and scheduled excursions by rail from London King's Cross commenced in 1908.

Landmarks in and around the town include the Diamond Jubilee Clock Tower; Compass Gardens – including the Jolly Fisherman statue; Skegness Pier; the Fairy Dell paddling pool and the Natureland Seal Sanctuary.

Skegness Mortgage Broker Insider Tips

Get all your signed documentation to your solicitor in advance, if you want to give yourself more chance of a faster conveyancing process in Skegness.

Your conveyancing solicitor can't exchange contracts with the other side until they receive your mortgage deed, transfer deed, signed contract and so on. Originals of these documents, or at least some originals may be required by your solicitor and if so, you may need to post them.

It's a good idea, if you have to use Royal Mail, to send as much correspondence as you can together and make sure to use recorded delivery. This way, the documents can be tracked and you can find out when your mail was received and who signed for it. This is never best left to chance - you might lose your documents, which will slow down your conveyancing considerably and you will have to wait for replacements, into the bargain.
