Blackpool is best known as a seaside resort in Lancashire and is well-known for its tower – an homage to the Eiffel Tower – and pier as well as its theme parks and numerous arcades and cafes. It took off as a town and resort in the mid-18th century before which it was a hamlet. Access was enabled by a newly-built private road via stagecoaches, particularly from nearby Manchester.
Its expansion and popularity were further assisted by the arrival of the railway in the 1840s and the Industrial Revolution in general which was a highly-marked feature in England's North West, because the new and expanding workforce wished to develop their leisure time by taking seaside holidays.
Blackpool remains the most popular seaside resort in the UK and its Winter Gardens regularly hosts conferences from political parties and trade unions among other organisations. It is the location of festivals of many different types, ranging from its Air Show to its Country Music Festival to its Punk Rock Rebellion Festival. Other major landmarks, interests and attractions include the Nort Pier, the Grand Theatre, the Sea Life Centre, the Louis Tussauds Wax Works, Sandcastle Water Park and Stanley Park.

Blackpool is within a relatively short distance of the M55 for access to the UK's motorway network and other trunk roads serving the town include the A583, the A587 the A586 and the A584, variously for travel to locations such as Preston, Fleetwood, Lancaster and Lytham St Annes.
The town famously has its own tram service – one of the oldest in the world dating back to 1885 – connecting it along the beach side up to Fleetwood. The town is served by various railway stations including Blackpool North and Blackpool South. Blackpool North has some direct services to London Euston, however travel to major conurbations in Great Britain in general at most requires a single change at either Preston or Liverpool Lime Street.

Lancashire is a county in the north west of England, whose administrative centre is Preston. Its history dates back to the 12th century and curiously some of its lands were originally treated as being part of Yorkshire in the Domesday Book of 1086. The county borders Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
The county particularly came to prominence during the Industrial Revolution with Liverpool and Manchester growing into its major cities, whose economies expanded as a result of the trade from the docks and the cotton mills respectively. By the 1830s a massive 85% of all cotton manufactured worldwide was processed in Lancashire. Cotton mill towns which developed from this economy include Accrington, Blackburn, Bolton, Burnley, Bury, Chorley, Colne, Darwen, Manchester, Nelson, Oldham, Preston, Rochdale and Wigan.
The main motorway in the area is the M6 but other motorways, such as the M55, M65, M61 and M66, M62 and M58 also run through it. The county has international airports in Manchester Airport, the third busiest in the UK and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. These cities are also excellent transport hubs in general and their main train stations (Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Piccadilly) offer fast access to other major British conurbations as well as to a host of other locations.
The county has many universities including for example the University of Liverpool, Liverpool John Moores University, Manchester Metropolitan University, the University of Bolton, the University of Law, the University of Manchester, the University of Salford, UMIST and Preston University.

Blackpool Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.
The actual conveyancing costs, outside of the legal work, should be fixed as they are set including:
For buyers: stamp duty, land registration, property searches, ID searches and leasehold charges (if buying a leasehold property).
For sellers: office copies, title plan and management information (if selling a leasehold property).
It is important to make sure when budgeting the costs of moving home that you factor in all of the above conveyancing costs and ensure you get a fixed fee conveyancing quote from your chosen local solicitors or licensed conveyancer.
Your new house in Blackpool may be your ideal home, but you wouldn't want to invest a large amount of money to later find there could be something wrong with it. That is why we recommend booking searches to investigate any potential risks or threats to your property and its surrounding area. These could be preservation orders, flood risks, radon gas seepage, drainage issues or liability to pay the church for repairs.
We always recommend that you book searches from the Blackpool Council. You should, at the very least, book these four: local authority, drainage, environment and chancel repair.
It is possible that these searches will flag up suggested additional searches such as HS2, flood and mining reports. Your solicitor can advise you on this.
