Raised levels of noise pollution from roads in the Blackwater area mainly centre around the main road - A30, London Road, impacting roads such as Quebec Gardens and Waldorf Heights.
When a RICS surveyor carries out either a building survey or homebuyer report in the Kensal Green area, they will switch the lights on and off but not test the whole electrical system. If they suspect that there is an electrical problem, they will recommend that you consult a local electrical contractor.

A local electrician near the Blackwater area is HC Pyramid Electrical, they cover the areas – Farnborough, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and West London.

Panel of RICS Surveyors

Ranging from 10 to 40 years all of our chartered RICS Surveyors are registered with and regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and have indemnity insurance that covers all of the work they undertake in a Home Buyers Survey in Blackwater.

Home Buyers Survey - What does it cover?

A RICS Home Buyers Survey is a visual inspection of the grounds and the internal/external structure of the property and identifies defects such as cracks or damage to the structure of the property, subsidence, damp and infestations.

Some of these defects you may not even see or know what to look for which makes getting a Home Buyers Survey, whether a Building Survey (which used to be known as a Full Structural Survey) or a HomeBuyers Report, if you're thinking of buying a property in Blackwater, incredibly important.

NB If you're a first time buyer, you might wish to click on What is a House Survey to find out more, including what happens during the inspection.

If they find any issues during the inspection of your property in Blackwater, our surveyor will flag them up in the Home Buyers Survey and give you advice on what you should do to solve them. An example of this is where the surveyor finds evidence of woodworm infestation.

If you are concerned about any other defects with the property you MUST get a Home Buyers Survey as the costs of repairing the defects can run into thousands of pounds.

You can find a local RICS surveyor by using the search at the bottom RHS of this page.

Does your surveyor check your electrics?

Your RICS surveyor will switch lights in a room on and off to see if the electrical supply is connected while carrying out their inspection for your RICS Home Buyers Survey.

However, they won't carry out any in-depth inspection of the electrical supply or check the wiring for example: this is beyond their scope of work. Their primary focus is on detecting signs and suspicions of major property defects such as subsidence and rising damp.

That said, invariably they can recommend a trusted local electrical tradesperson if you ask them to.
