Hammersmith is a district in West London in Hammersmith and Fulham Borough. It is residential with large shopping parades and a shopping centre at its (District & Picadilly tube line) station. It has cultural diversions such as a theatre and concert halls. The Apollo in Hammersmith is a very famous music venue and still continues to bring thousands of listeners in with its highly varied programmes.

The Riverside Studios on Crisp Road, a production studio, theatre and independent cinema on the banks of the River Thames, is in the midst of redevelopment and is due to reopen in 2018 - it was an excellent venue and no doubt will be even better as its remodelling is planned to take into account the rapid changes in digital media technology.
