Canterbury is a cathedral city and UNESCO World Heritage Site that is located in Kent county, along the River Stour. It is one of the most popular destinations for tourists in the UK, mainly because of its many historical cathedrals. Music and theatre are distinct cultural features of Canterbury. Theatrical performances are often performed at the Marlowe Theatre and Gulbenkian Theatre which also houses a cinema and cafe. Located in the city is the University of Kent which has hosted musical concerts for well-known bands and local artists over the years.

Kent has many port towns including Dover, Folkestone and Margate. Adjacent counties include East Sussex, Surrey, Essex (across the River Thames) and, as stated earlier, Greater London. Curiously, Kent used to contain an enclave north of the River Thames until 1965 which equates now to the E16 postcode area and which has now been reclassified as part of the London Borough of Newham. JMW Turner, the great impressionist painter, spent part of his childhood in Margate and regularly returned there in later life. The coastline of East Kent is regarded as the inspiration for many of his works, particularly his fantastic seascapes.

You have to be aged between 18 and 40 to start up a LISA and can save up to £4,000 each year in one and the Government offers a 25% bonus on top of the sum you've saved. If you want to put your savings towards buying a property – the value cannot exceed £450,000 - you can only do this once the account has been open for at least 1 year.
