Selling or buying a home with our Pinner Conveyancing Solicitors
Pinner, in London's Harrow Borough is an affluent area located 12 miles north west of Central London. It is in Brent and Harrow Constituency for the London Assembly but is allied with Ruislip and Northwood as a parliamentary constituency. Pinner has wide tree-lined streets, large houses and flat conversions in attractive Edwardian buildings.
Pinner has, notably, the lowest crime rate in London. It has a very pretty Grade II listed mansion called Pinner House, the facade of which was built in 1721. Pinner has held an annual street fair since 1336, when Edward III granted it a Royal Charter. It's perenially popular, perhaps because, according to the charter's rules, if the fair isn't held one year, the right to hold it will be lost(!)

Strictly speaking Middlesex as a concept is only kept in existence by many people continuing to name it as a county on postal addresses and other contributors such as Middlesex County Cricket Club, whose home ground is at Lord's in St John's Wood, just outside Central London. It is still loved despite it not having any form of administrative function etc.
People hearing about Middlesex assume it was/is a large county because of the amount of Greater London territory (West and North London and Westminster, with the Thames as its southern boundary) which lies within its borders. It is actually the second smallest county in the UK. Middlesex was established in the Anglo-Saxon system from the territory of the Middle Saxons. The largely low-lying county's soil is dominated by clay in its north and alluvium on gravel in its south.
Middlesex contains locations as diverse as Teddington (where the tidal Thames normally finishes), Enfield, Notting Hill, Ickenham, Ealing (where the famous film studios which produced so much early film comedy still exists), Hampstead and Southall.

Which Property Searches Do You Need?
The last thing you want when moving into your new Pinner home is to find out that there is something wrong with the property which could reduce the value of the large investment you have just made.
Therefore it is highly recommended that you book searches from the Harrow Council to investigate any worries or threats which may affect the property and the surrounding area. These searches highlight any risks such as subsidence, flooding, pollution, planning permissions and radon gas seepage.
Therefore we, and most likely your lender, always advocate that you book at least four searches; local authority, environmental, drainage and chancel repair. Your solicitor can advise you on any additional searches that may be flagged up such as Flood Risk, Mining or HS2 Report.
