Top tips for a Barnet Home Buyers Survey


Barnet has a great variety of properties. There's a mix of Victorian and Edwardian houses which developed after the railway arrived in the 19th century; of detached, semi-detached and terrace types. There are also plenty of houses built in the 1920s and 30s including detached and semi-detached properties and bungalows.

There are period homes around the St John the Baptist Church in the Wood Street conservation area and Edwardian and later properties in the Hadley Wood area. Granville Close near the town centre has a few large detached Edwardian houses. Hadley Highstone has cottages and Victorian terrace houses.

There are also a number of newer developments also. There are shared ownership properties, for example, in Canons Row, Chandos Avenue, GreenPoint, Mill Brook Park, Millbrook Park, Panavia Court (Bristol Avenue) and Eden Place. I’m buying a new build property, what survey do I need?

If you are purchasing a new build property in Barnet you will need to have a snagging survey carried out by a RICS surveyor.

A snagging survey is designed to find out if there are any immediate problems with your new-build home.
