WorcestershireWorcestershire is a county in the West Midlands and Worcester is its county town and is a cathedral city, containing the beautiful Worcester Cathedral. The county is mainly rural, containing the Malvern Hills, which border it to the west. The Malvern Hills have been classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The Worcestershire Beacon, which at 425m is the highest point in the county, lies in this range.

Some parts of the county to its north east are in the industrial area of the West Midlands. Major settlements include Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Redditch (all satellite towns of Birmingham). Adjoining counties include West Midlands, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

Worcester is the largest populated urban area and contains the county's one university, the University of Worcester. It is also the main transport hub, offering direct railway services from Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington and many other major conurbations.

There are 3 motorways running through the county; the M5, the M42 and M50. Two major rivers flow through the county, the Severn and the Avon.

Arguably Kidderminster Harriers is the county's most famous football team – it is non-league and one of the oldest in the country – and Worcestershire County Cricket Club's (WCCC) home ground is at New Road in Worcester. WCCC last won the county championship in the late 80s in the era of Ian Botham, Graham Dilley and Graeme Hick.

The village of Broadheath, about 6 miles (10 km) North-West of the city of Worcester, is the birthplace of the composer Edward Elgar. Worcester’s Berrow’s Journal has a claim to be the oldest surviving newspaper in the world, publishing started in 1709.

What are the conveyancing costs?

Kidderminster Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.

The actual conveyancing costs, outside of the legal work, should be fixed as they are set including:

For buyers: stamp duty, land registration, property searches, ID searches and leasehold charges (if buying a leasehold property).

For sellers: office copies, title plan and management information (if selling a leasehold property).
