Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England, around 21 kilometres from Birmingham. It was a small, cloth-producing town in the Middle Ages. In the 19th century it grew larger and became known for nail production. The town’s cultural and entertainment spots include various pubs and museums (i.e Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings which showcases rescued buildings). Bromsgrove is also near to the Worcester and Birmingham Canal which is popular for leisure walking, boat rides, and fishing. And it is also close to nature viewing spots like the Waseley Hills and the Lickey Hills.

Some parts of the county to its north east are in the industrial area of the West Midlands. Major settlements include Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Redditch (all satellite towns of Birmingham). Adjoining counties include West Midlands, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Worcester is the largest populated urban area and contains the county's one university, the University of Worcester. It is also the main transport hub, offering direct railway services from Worcester Shrub Hill to London Paddington and many other major conurbations.
There are 3 motorways running through the county; the M5, the M42 and M50. Two major rivers flow through the county, the Severn and the Avon.
Arguably Kidderminster Harriers is the county's most famous football team – it is non-league and one of the oldest in the country – and Worcestershire County Cricket Club's (WCCC) home ground is at New Road in Worcester. WCCC last won the county championship in the late 80s in the era of Ian Botham, Graham Dilley and Graeme Hick.
The village of Broadheath, about 6 miles (10 km) North-West of the city of Worcester, is the birthplace of the composer Edward Elgar. Worcester’s Berrow’s Journal has a claim to be the oldest surviving newspaper in the world, publishing started in 1709.

What are the conveyancing costs?
Bromsgrove Conveyancing Solicitor fees dramatically vary depending on whether you approach an online conveyancing solicitor, a high street conveyancer or housing solicitors introduced by your estate agent.
The actual conveyancing costs, outside of the legal work, should be fixed as they are set including:
For buyers: stamp duty, land registration, property searches, ID searches and leasehold charges (if buying a leasehold property).
For sellers: office copies, title plan and management information (if selling a leasehold property).
It is important to make sure when budgeting the costs of moving home that you factor in all of the above conveyancing costs and ensure you get a fixed fee conveyancing quote from your chosen local solicitors or licensed conveyancer.
Whether you're a cash buyer or buying with a mortgage solicitors are key to the whole process, making the right choice critically important.
Fast, good and cheap conveyancing
Read our guides on how you can get all three:
Can you buy a property with a deposit under 10%?
You can buy a property presenting a deposit of less than 10% of the home's selling price. Beyond just getting the agreement of the vendor, please see below various examples of conveyancing where this is normal.
- If you're using the Help to Buy Equity Loan scheme, your deposit can be as low as 5%.
- If you're buying a shared ownership property, you have to pay a 10% deposit – but this is a percentage of the percentage you're buying, so in effect your deposit can be as little as 2.5% of the whole selling price.
- You don't have to present any deposit if you're buying using a No Deposit Mortgage (Offset): funds are provided by a helper instead (click to read more).
- If you're buying a concessionary purchase, the discount from the full selling price counts as the deposit (click to read more).
