"Competitively priced service, the agent I dealt with was very helpful. On the day of the survey itself I received a call from the surveyor to run through his initial findings. The quality of the report produced was excellent, very detailed and thorough. If needed I will be using SAM Conveyancing's services again in the future for sure."

Types of property in Shepherd's Bush?

Shepherd's Bush is a district of West London in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the main thoroughfares there are Uxbridge Road, Goldhawk Road and Askew Road.

The residential areas of Shepherd's Bush are primarily located to the west of the Green, either side of Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road to the southwest, and about as far as Askew Road in the west.

Much of the housing in this area consists of three- or four-storey terraces dating from the late 19th century, and subsequently divided up into small flats.

The district also hosts the White City Estate, constructed in the 1930s and extended in the 1950s which principally consists of medium-rise blocks of apartments.

'The Bush' has rows of Victorian terraces such as can be found in Askew Crescent. Rylett Road and Rylett Crescent have Victorian double-fronted detached houses and semis and there are small Victorian terrace houses in Arminger Road and Ingersoll Road. Boscombe Road has 3-storey bow-fronted semi-detached houses.

In the Ravenscourt & Starch Green conservation area, Ashchurch Grove and Ashchurch Park Villas have lovely semi-detached bow-fronted Victorian houses with attractive roof parapets.

The Wormholt Estate, built between 1912 and 1928 by London County Council, has excellent red-brick houses and flats, on streets such as Foxglove Street and Lilac Street.

New build developments include the 950 new homes built in the old Television Centre in Wood Lane, of which 142 are affordable.

RICS Level 2 Home Survey with a Valuation

A RICS Level 2 Home Survey, which used to be called the HomeBuyer Report or a Home Buyer Survey, is generally suitable for:

  • Bungalows
  • Flats
  • Standard construction houses

The majority of Shepherd's Bush's leasehold flats require only a RICS HomeBuyer Report but for any Victorian conversions, a Building Survey may well be required.
