Top tips for a Clapton Home Buyers Survey
Clapton, which essentially consists of Upper Clapton and Lower Clapton, is a district in Hackney Borough in northeast London. It hosts the architecturally interesting Church of the Good Shepherd, particularly in terms of its outside statues, which was completed in 1895 and is of the Gothic revival style.
Most of the housing in Upper Clapton consists of per- and post-war blocks of flats, with very few period survivals; terrace housing used to dominate the area.
Lower Clapton has late Georgian period housing around Clpaton Pond and Clapton Square – there are excellent Georgian terraces here and it has many streets of Victorian terraces alongside low-rise housing estates such as the Clapton Park Estate.
New build developments include the flats and apartments in Median Road and contemporary apartment blocks such as Moore House in Millfield Road.

Home Buyers Survey - What does it cover?
A Home Buyers Survey is completed by a qualified RICS surveyor and delivers a visual inspection of the property in Clapton and the surrounding garden. The aim of the survey, whether a Building Survey (which used to be known as a Full Structural Survey) or a HomeBuyers Report, is to identify potential risks or defects that you may not know are there such as cracks or damage to the structure of the property, subsidence, damp and infestations.
