Rainham is a town in East London, forming part of Havering Borough as well as Dagenham and Rainham parliamentary constituency, and is close to Hornchurch, which has many cultural diversions, whose urban district it used to be part of. It is also close to Romford, which offers many entertainments.

Rainham Hall is a popular local house and attraction with grounds; it's a beautiful Grade II-listed Georgian building and hosts excellent art and collections. Bird lovers also often come to the Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve, which has a bird sanctuary and modern visitor centre.
