Make sure you get your mortgage offer!

Conveyancing processes are frequently delayed because a buyer hasn't got their mortgage offer in place. Getting a mortgage in principle now happens before your offer is accepted by the Estate Agent selling the property. It's not unknown for buyers to make the error of thinking that a Mortgage in Principle is a mortgage offer; however the mortgage lender doesn’t give a mortgage offer until they have credit approved you and completed the property valuation.

This process could take weeks as surveyors need to be instructed and access with the vendor arranged.

As soon as your seller accepts your mortgage offer, you should reapply to your mortgage lender to get the ball rolling, giving you the best chance of getting your mortgage offer promptly.
