Tackle your lease extension well before you put your flat on the market!

It can be difficult to sell a flat with less than 80 years to run, but you may not discover this until you're far into your conveyancing process when timescales are tight and tensions high!

It's much better that you get your lease extension before you try and sell your flat, although we know that in the real world this isn't always possible and we'll always endeavour to help you, whenever you decide to start the process.

If you start the lease extension process once you found a buyer, you may find the buyer isn't willing to wait around whilst you negotiate a premium to pay for the lease extension with the freeholder.
