Check your credit files for mistakes!

Give yourself the best chance of quicker conveyancing by getting all your signed documents to your solicitor in advance.

Your solicitor cannot exchange until they have your ID, mortgage deed, signed contract, transfer deed and other relevant items. You should also factor in that some of these documents have to be posted.

It's best to send in as much correspondence as you can all together and always use recorded delivery. This way, you can track the documents and find out who signed for them and when they were received. Losing documents can be incredibly frustrating, particularly when you have to wait for replacements for originals.
